Martin P. Weniz

Martin Weniz is the principal attorney at Los, and The Law Offices of Martin P. Weniz. He is a native of Los Angeles, a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, and Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. He has been selected as a Super Lawyer in 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, and is a Member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. Membership in this organization is limited to attorneys who have acted as principal counsel in cases which resulted in a million dollar verdicts awards and settlements. Mr. Weniz has also been recognized by Los Angeles Magazine in Top Attorneys in Southern California.

Mr. Weniz was trial and appellate counsel in the ground breaking medical malpractice case of Mejia v. Community Hospital of San Bernardino. In 2000, the year it was tried to a jury verdict in San Bernardino County, Mejia was the largest single medical malpractice jury verdict in the State of California. On behalf of his client, Mr. Weniz successfully handled the appeal from the Mejia trial. This appeal resulted in a nationally recognized published decision, (Mejia v. Community Hospital of San Bernardino, (2002) 99 Cal.App.4th 1448) which remains a leading landmark case in California on the issue of a Hospital’s responsibility for the malpractice of its “independent contractor” physicians who work at, but not for, the hospital.

Mr. Weniz is also a Member of The State Bar of California, The American Bar Association, The Los Angeles County Bar Association, Consumer Attorneys of California, and Consumer Attorneys of Los Angeles.
